Jumping at the Derby County Fair: At the beginning of July, we went to Derby County show jumping. We find this is a good education for the young horses as they have to jump in the main ring next to the fair!! Dapple King jumped a double clear and finished 6th out of a strong class of 42 we were really pleased with him, he is all set for Buckminster now. Mr Bigshot was 7th in Intermediate Novice, he was very grown up and behaved like a true pro. Waldo was 2nd in the Newcomers and Uzermie 56 was 8th in the Foxhunter. Who says event riders cant show jump!!! |

New Horsebox For 2010: With Emma turning professional at the beginning of 2010, it was clear that her old transport arrangements had to change. As such, she has just taken delivery of a five horse DAF, with 'snazzy' living, under floor storage, plenty of room for horses and all the mod cons. So although people always recognise her in the pink and black batmobile, the new box presents a practical work lorry where more horses can be taken to events.

Emma And 7 Golden Rules: Emma recently featured in a book on "7 Golden Rules for any woman to succeed" written by Chérie Concannon. Every inch a woman herself,
executive coach Chérie Concannon has made a career out of coaching high-powered men. Drawing on twenty years of experience in the business,
Chérie has found that the majority of men feel most comfortable when being dominated in the right way by the right female. A woman who
understands this, and knows how to implement it, will succeed in any male dominated environment. The book sets out these findings as it escorts the reader through Chérie’s 35 steps to success and introduces real-life examples of the men in Chérie’s life and the opinions they carry of the women in theirs. Chérie is on a mission to equip women with the tools they need to exploit their feminine power, to influence the world they inhabit and to make things happen in their lives. Female sexuality gets left at the door as Chérie identifies areas in which women can help themselves by unlocking their personal potential as women, while still retaining their popularity with the men in their lives. The book rates Emma in terms of the 7 Golden Rules; "Emma excels at six of them. She has tremendous foresight because she basically sets her sights on everything ahead that she wants. She has insight through working with me for a number of years and me having pointed things out to her for so long. She is strong to the point of being immovable. She is dominant and nobody would disagree with that. She can be incredibly nurturing so has an absolutely fantastic ability to utilise her magic. Interestingly the Golden Rule that Emma has still to fully develop is Golden Rule Three which relates to being different. Anyone who has met Emma will note very quickly that she is built like Lara Croft and Emma has always found it incredibly easy to utilise this in order to achieve her short term objectives. However she does know and she does understand that really to achieve her long term objectives this has not been the right thing to do. Now when you watch her in a business setting you can see her very clearly trying not to use her sexuality and trying to compensate for this. So she does understand very much how that has a) worked for her on the short term basis and b) worked against her on the long term basis. This aside, Emma is undoubtedly a woman of substance." |
