EMMA HYSLOP EVENTING

Emma Hyslop

Emma Hyslop

Riding from an early age Emma grew up on the hunting field, her Mum hiring horses out for hunting and it was her job to make sure they were competent jumpers. This is what started her passion for cross country riding.

She completed the famous Melton Cross Country Ride at the young age of 15; having had to gain the masters permission as the age of consent was 18. She finished in the top 20 out of a field of 60 starters.

She then gained three A levels and went to work for a Leadership Development company, firstly as PA to the MD and latterly as head of their sales team. Although successful and lucrative, her passion is horses. She resigned in 2009 in order to devote my time to her eventing career.

Her successes to date:
» Produced and ridden horses to Advanced level and competed at the Blenhiem CIC 3* in September.
» Competed in 10 national and 5 international events in 2009 and finishing top 25% in all 15 (The season was cut short due to an injury in July)
» Gained a Wild Card to compete at the British Open ahead of many international riders.
